The Browning X-Bolt 2 Hunter Composite Stainless is a bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield, designed to deliver classic sporter performance with Browning's modern X-Bolt 2 action. Built around a stainless steel receiver and barreled action for long-term corrosion resistance in the field, this Bolt-Action rifle pairs a 22" steel sporter-contour barrel with a 1:10 twist, optimized for the wide variety of .30-06 bullet weights favored by North American hunters.
A Tang safety provides positive thumb engagement without breaking the firing grip, while the adjustable Deluxe trigger lets the shooter tune pull weight and overtravel to preference. The 4+1 capacity detachable magazine feeds from a compact, flush-fit box that preserves the clean sporter profile of the rifle.
A key feature for hunters who want to run a suppressor or simply tame felt recoil is the factory threaded barrel, cut to M13x0.75 and capped with Browning's radial Muzzle Brake to flatten the stout .30-06 report. The barrel is free-floated within a composite stock, finished in matte Black to shrug off weather and brush. Browning's Vari-Tech adjustable stock allows length of pull, comb height, and grip geometry to be tuned without tools, so the same rifle can be fit to different shooters in the field.
Weighing in at 7.01 lbs unloaded and stretching 42" overall, this X-Bolt 2 is light enough to carry all day in the mountains yet stout enough for comfortable shooting off sticks or from a bench. No iron sights are installed, leaving the receiver top ready for your preferred optic in the standard X-Bolt two-piece scope-base footprint. From Browning, this is a current-production hunting rifle ready for whitetail, mule deer, elk, black bear, and most North American big game.
