The Browning Cutoff Camp Cleaver is a compact fixed-blade knife built specifically for the camp kitchen, whether that's deer camp, elk camp, a backcountry wall-tent setup, or a weekend at the cabin. Its short, stout 2.50" cleaver-profile blade is ground from 9Cr14MoV stainless steel and given a non-reflective black oxide stonewashed finish that hides scratches, shrugs off corrosion, and keeps a working, no-nonsense look in the field.
The Cutoff rides on a full-tang frame for maximum strength under hard use, with contoured two-tone black/tan G-10 handle scales that give a positive, tactile grip even when the handle is wet, cold, or greasy from food prep. At 6.25" overall, the knife is small and light enough to ride in a pack, on a belt, or in a duffel without getting in the way, while the wide cleaver blade geometry provides plenty of cutting surface for breaking down small game, opening boxes and packages, slicing vegetables, or any of the everyday chores that come with running a camp. The plain edge keeps sharpening simple in the field with a basic stone or rod.
This boxed version (model 3220322B) from Browning's Camp series ships complete with a nylon belt sheath so the knife can be carried securely and deployed quickly right out of the package. It's a purpose-built utility knife - lightweight, easy to maintain, and ready for the chuck wagon, hunting camp, or any outdoor kitchen job you throw at it.
