The Browning BAR MK4 Hunter is a gas-operated semi-automatic big-game rifle chambered in .270 Winchester. Drawing on a design that has anchored Browning's autoloading line for decades, the BAR MK4 uses a gas-piston system that delivers fast cycling, reduced felt recoil, and keeps fouling out of the action for dependable performance in the field.

This Full Size Hunter configuration pairs a 22" matte blued steel barrel with a matte blued aluminum alloy drilled and tapped receiver, giving hunters a lightweight optics-ready platform with non-reflective surfaces top to bottom. The barrel runs a 1:12 twist rate well suited to .270 Win bullet weights, and the drilled and tapped receiver accepts a scope base and rings right out of the box.

The composite stock is dressed in Mossy Oak Bottomland camouflage, a pattern purpose-built for flooded timber, cornfields, and early-season hardwoods. Browning's adjustable shim system lets the shooter dial in length of pull and cast for a proper fit, while a raised SoftFlex cheek piece provides a consistent, comfortable weld whether shooting off the bench or from a tree stand.

Feeding from a detachable box magazine, the BAR MK4 Hunter runs a 4+1 capacity in .270 Winchester. The rifle tips the scales at approximately 7.06 lbs and stretches 44.13" overall, a balanced package for spot-and-stalk western hunts or close-cover whitetail setups. Iron sights are not installed, leaving the optics-ready receiver open for the shooter's preferred scope.
