The Browning BAR MK4 Hunter is a semi-automatic hunting rifle chambered in .243 Winchester, built around Browning's proven short-recoil operated action. This Hunter variant pairs a 22" fluted matte blued barrel with a matte blued aluminum alloy receiver that is drilled and tapped for scope mounting.

Feeding from a detachable rotary box magazine with a 4+1 capacity, the BAR MK4 Hunter delivers fast follow-up shots without giving up the handling of a traditional sporter. The barreled action is paired with a Grade II Turkish walnut stock finished in an oiled look and fitted with Browning's shim-adjustable spacers for cast on/off and drop at the comb, letting the shooter dial in length-of-pull and comb height. An Inflex recoil pad softens felt recoil on the bench and in the field.

The 22" fluted barrel uses a 1:12" twist, well matched to the broad range of .243 Win bullet weights used for varmints and medium game.
