The Browning 1911-22 A1 is a purpose-built rimfire take on John M. Browning's legendary 1911, scaled to 85% of the original full-size .45 ACP combat pistol and engineered from the ground up for .22 LR rather than as a slide-conversion package. The result is the familiar 1911 manual of arms, ergonomics, and control layout in a light, easy-handling .22 rimfire training and recreational pistol.

Construction pairs a serrated matte black steel slide with a lightweight matte black aluminum alloy frame, while a 4.25" stainless steel match-grade barrel anchors the package for accuracy. Controls are pure 1911: a single-action trigger, thumb safety, and grip safety, finished off with the signature beavertail grip profile and black textured polymer grips.

Fixed black A1-style front and rear sights ride low on the slide for a clean sight picture. The magazine well accepts a detachable 10-round magazine for a 10+1 total capacity. Unloaded weight comes in at 15 oz with an overall length of 7.125", giving the 1911-22 A1 a comfortable feel at the bench and on the range. This California Compliant configuration ships with one magazine and a protective ABS carrying case.
