The Black Rain Recon Scout is an elite tactical AR-15 semi-auto rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO and rated for .223 Rem. As part of Black Rain Ordnance's premium Recon Series, it is purpose-built around 7075 T6 billet aluminum receivers for an exceptionally rigid shooting platform aimed at duty, defense, and serious recreational use.

The 16" barrel is machined from 416R stainless steel and finished in a protective nitride coating for excellent wear and corrosion resistance, while the slim milled flash suppressor keeps muzzle blast under control. Reliability is delivered through a direct impingement operating system with a .750 low profile adjustable gas block, a Nickel Boron coated bolt carrier group, and a crisp drop-in trigger.

The Recon Scout ships with no factory iron sights installed, leaving the upper receiver optics-ready for your preferred red dot, LPVO, or magnified optic. Furniture is intentionally minimalist with an MFT Minimalist buttstock in black. Overall length measures 34" and the rifle weighs 6.90 lbs. The standard detachable box magazine layout supports a 30+1 capacity for 5.56 NATO.
