The Black Rain Ordnance MLR is a stripped AR-15 lower receiver precision-milled and finished in a durable Cerakote coating. Designed to serve as the foundation of a custom AR build, the MLR accepts standard AR-15 small parts and components, giving the builder a reliable starting point for an AR-15 pistol or rifle.

The MLR ships as a stripped lower only, without any of the internal fire control components. The builder will need to supply a complete lower parts kit, pistol grip, and buttstock/buffer tube assembly to bring the firearm to a functional state. The Cerakote finish provides enhanced corrosion and wear resistance over standard anodizing, making it well-suited for hard use in the field.
