Tru-Oil is Birchwood Casey's gun stock finish made from a unique blend of linseed and natural oils that dries fast to a tough, long-lasting protective film without clouding, yellowing, or cracking with age.

This kit bundles everything needed to take a stripped or worn wood stock from bare wood to a hand-rubbed satin finish in one box. The 9-piece set includes 3 oz Tru-Oil Gun Stock Finish, 3 oz Walnut Stain, 3 oz Stock Sheen & Conditioner, fine, medium, and coarse abrasive papers, 00 steel wool pads, and service and polish cloths. The water-based Walnut Stain lays down a clear, rich walnut tone on bare wood; Tru-Oil penetrates and builds a hard, lustrous top coat with each successive rub; and Stock Sheen & Conditioner is used as the final step to bring up a deep, durable sheen over the cured finish.

Used together, the components are designed to sand, color, seal, and polish a stock with a matched system rather than a collection of random supplies.
