The Berger VLD Hunting line blends match-grade accuracy with serious big-game performance, giving long-range hunters a projectile that holds trajectory and anchors game cleanly. This offering is the 30 Caliber (.308 diameter) 155 grain bullet, built on Berger's signature Secant Very Low Drag profile - a high-ballistic-coefficient, boat-tail design with a secant ogive nose that retains velocity and resists wind drift at extended range.

At its core is a lead core wrapped in Berger's thin copper J4 hunting jacket, engineered to penetrate 2 to 3 inches into the vitals before initiating rapid expansion and driving a massive wound cavity up to 15 inches. That controlled, violent expansion produces the hydrostatic shock needed to anchor medium and large game on long-range shots. The recommended minimum twist rate is 1:14" or faster.

Each bullet measures 1.223 in overall length with a G1 ballistic coefficient of .439 and a sectional density of .233.
