The Battle Arms Development BAD-EMC-AMBI is an enhanced ambidextrous magazine catch purpose-built for the AR-15 platform. The two-piece ambi design lets the shooter drop a magazine with either hand without breaking their firing grip, making it a favorite upgrade for left-handed shooters and anyone running modern shooting stances where breaking contact is critical.
Manufactured from 8620 heat-treated steel using an investment cast process, the BAD-EMC-AMBI delivers serious strength in a lightweight package. The black nitride finish provides excellent corrosion and wear resistance, and the enhanced geometry gives the shooter additional tactile leverage over a standard Mil-Spec catch while keeping the profile slim enough to stay clear of gear and slings.
This catch drops into any AR-15 style lower receiver that uses a Mil-Spec magazine release button and is fully compatible with the popular BAD-EMR and BAD-EMMR enhanced magazine release buttons. Installation uses the existing factory magazine catch spring and roll pin, so it is a straightforward swap for anyone building or upgrading a lower.
