The Barnes TSX Flat Base is a high-performance, all-copper reloading bullet designed for handloaders working with the straight-walled 400 Legend rifle cartridge. Introduced in 2003, the TSX (Triple-Shock X) bullet pioneered Barnes' signature design with horizontal grooves machined along the bullet's circumference that eliminate the need for a dry lubricating film while initiating controlled, three-stage expansion on impact.

These projectiles are built around a 190 gr weight and a 0.400" diameter with a traditional flat base profile that feeds smoothly and seats cleanly in 400 Legend cases. The large open nose cavity allows fluid to enter immediately on impact, driving rapid expansion and deep penetration through heavy muscle and bone. Because the TSX is a solid copper construction, it is 100% lead-free and is a natural choice for lead-free hunting applications.
