The Barnes Bullets LRX (Long-Range X) is a premium, all-copper hunting bullet engineered for today's accurate, extended-range hunting rifles. This 7mm (.284) projectile weighs 168 grains and uses a polymer tip, a boat tail base, and a solid copper construction designed to deliver rapid expansion and deep penetration with near double-diameter wound channels, even on dense, thick-skinned game.

Barnes builds the LRX as a true lead-free projectile from a copper solid body with a polymer tip seated at the meplat and finished with a boat tail for improved ballistic efficiency and reduced drag. A cannelure is present for consistent seating and crimping during handloading. The bullet carries a G1 ballistic coefficient of .55 and a sectional density of .298, and Barnes recommends a 1:8" or faster twist rate for proper stabilization at extended range.
