The Barnes Expander MZ brings Barnes' legendary all-copper X-Bullet technology to muzzleloader hunters. Engineered for 45 Cal muzzleloader rifles, these sabot-loaded projectiles deliver the same devastating, consistent expansion that has made Barnes a gold standard in premium hunting bullets.

At 195 grains, each bullet is 100% copper with a large hollow-point cavity machined into the nose. On impact, the projectile expands to roughly twice its original diameter, peeling back into six razor-sharp copper petals that create massive wound channels and exceptional retained weight, even through the wide velocity swings typical of muzzleloader hunting loads.

The muzzleloader-specific Expander MZ design is tuned for consistent shot-to-shot velocities with black powder and pellet-style charges.
