The Auto Ordnance 1911 A1 Commander is a Commander-profile take on the classic GI-spec 1911, chambered in .45 ACP and offered here in brand-new condition. It pairs a 4.25-inch barrel with a 7+1 single-stack magazine, running a traditional single-action-only (SAO) trigger that keeps the time-tested 1911 manual of arms intact in a slightly more compact package than the full-size Government Model.

Build quality follows the original GI playbook: a matte black 4140 steel frame paired with a matte black carbon steel slide carrying slide serrations for confident press checks. The frame, slide, and barrel are all finished in non-reflective matte black, and the pistol is 100 percent made in the USA by Auto Ordnance. The traditional 1911 three-safety stack is fully present, with a firing pin safety, a grip safety, and a manual thumb safety right where you'd expect them.

Sights are a classic contrast setup, with a fixed blade front paired to a drift-adjustable rear for easy windage tuning at the range.
