Armaspec SRS AR-15 Gen 4 C/H/H2 Stealth Recoil Spring Kit

The Armaspec SRS AR15-KIT Gen 4 is a self-contained, captured multi-stage recoil and buffer-spring system for AR-15 firearms with a carbine-length buffer tube. It installs as a drop-in replacement for a conventional buffer and spring.

The system comes assembled in the C/carbine configuration and includes interchangeable H and H2 weights for cycling adjustment. Equivalent buffer weights are 3.3 oz for C, 3.8 oz for H, and 4.7 oz for H2. With the stainless-steel weight installed, complete-system weights are 6.2 oz, 6.6 oz, and 7.4 oz, respectively.

Its captured spring is designed to avoid contact with the buffer tube inner wall, while a second spring stage cushions the recoil impulse and keeps the buffer mass under constant tension against the bolt carrier. The black assembly measures 7.18 in overall and uses a stainless-steel weight with a polymer rear bumper. This New Made in USA Gen 4 version does not use an O-ring on the weight.

The SRS may be installed with or without the firearm's buffer retainer. For proper fit, the bolt carrier must have a rear opening greater than 0.60 in; carriers with openings below that dimension are not compatible. During installation, orient the polymer bumper toward the rear of the firearm and the weight mass toward the bolt carrier. Armaspec specifies 3/32 in hex keys for checking and tightening the screws.
