Armaspec Braided Buffer Spring BBS AR-15 Carbine Length

The Armaspec Braided Buffer Spring (BBS) is a drop-in replacement recoil spring engineered for the AR-15 platform's standard carbine buffer system. Designed with 51 active coils, the BBS replaces the factory single-wire spring with a braided multi-strand design that distributes load across multiple wires to extend service life and tame spring resonance.

The braided geometry delivers smoother, quieter, and more reliable cycling compared to a standard carbine spring. By weaving the wire rather than coiling it as a single helix, the BBS dampens the metallic "twang" often heard during the bolt's rearward travel and resists the set-loss and fatigue that shorten the working life of a conventional spring on high-round-count rifles.

The BBS installs in place of the factory spring and is intended for use with standard carbine-length AR-15 buffer tubes. It is a direct replacement spring — no other modifications to the buffer or lower receiver are required.
