The Area 419 Firearms 7/8" Universal Decapping Die is a specialty reloading tool built to pop spent primers out of bottleneck rifle cases during the resizing stage of handloading. Machined to the standard 7/8" die footprint, it threads into any standard single-stage or progressive press and gives you a dedicated decapping station so you don't have to run a full-length sizer just to clear a spent primer.
The die body is cut from aluminum, with all of the moving parts built from steel for long service life under repeated spring cycling. A spring-loaded decapping pin stays seated against the spent primer as the press ram returns, so there is no manual reset between strokes. The press handle does the work for you. The universal pin geometry clears the flash holes of common bottleneck rifle brass, and the die accepts cases up to and including 338 Lapua length, covering everything from short 223 Rem cases to long magnum rifle brass.
Because the pin is universal rather than caliber-specific, the same die handles your entire bottleneck case inventory. That makes it ideal for handloaders separating decapping from full-length sizing, prepping military crimped brass, or running a dedicated case-prep workflow before annealing and reforming. Compact, simple, and built to outlast your press, the Area 419 7/8" decapping die does one job and does it well.
