The American Precision Arms Gen 2 Micro Bastard is a compact self-timing muzzle brake machined from stainless steel and finished in black nitride for corrosion resistance and a low-glare surface. Designed for 30 caliber AR-platform rifles and hunting rifles with smaller-diameter barrels, the Micro Bastard carries a modest 1.86" overall length and a .750" outer diameter, making it a clean fit on standard and pencil-profile barrels from roughly .600" to .750" in diameter.

The Gen 2 series uses a separate locking collar and jam nut that lets you time the brake at the bench in about 30 seconds, with no shims, no rockset, and no gunsmith required. Thread the brake onto a 1/2x28 TPI muzzle, index the ports, and lock the collar down.
