The K98k was the primary rifle for the German Wehrmacht during World War II. After World War I, Germany began selling rifles to Portugal around 1931. Early contracts featured beautifully blued Mauser rifles with Portuguese crests. In the 1940s, Portugal received K98k replicas, similar to the 1941 Nazi K98k, but some were diverted to German service due to wartime losses. To compensate, Germany reclaimed K98k rifles from the Wehrmacht in 1942-1943 and delivered them to Portugal. These rifles bear the Portuguese crest and resemble the 1941 Mauser Oberndorf K98k Wehrmacht-issue rifles with Nazi markings.

Experience the historical prowess of the K98 German Made M937B Mauser 8mm featuring the iconic Portugese Crest. This meticulously crafted firearm carries the legacy of German engineering and Portuguese history. The robust 8mm Mauser chambering ensures reliable performance, making it a prized possession for collectors and shooting enthusiasts. Own a piece of the past with this remarkable and iconic rifle.

All serial numbers are matching, including bayonet.

I am really happy with my rifle, the condition and bore are great, plus the matching bayonet really adds to the peice. Over all these are some of the best k98's I hace seen imported in 20 plus years. everything was matching numbers but the stock.

    GERMAN KAR98K M937B Portuguese

Posted by Doug on Nov 26th 2023

After viewing the individual listings of the 937b portuguese Kar98k, gave me an idea of condition of the rifles. I rolled the dice on the random matching with match bayonet since none of the individual listed rifles met my fancy. I only requested that the random rifle without the "PB" marking. The rifle received was in excellent condition with bluing about 85%. It is a early "g" block without the "PB". Bore is in excellent condition with no pitting. Everything is matching numbers except for floor plate screws. The rifle was dirty with storage crude but cleaned up very nicely. The marked sling is worn but serviceable. The bayonet is in excellent condition matching the rifle and the scabbard very good condition but not matching as advertised. I am extremely happy with my purchase. Centerfire Systems shipped the same day my ffl sent his ffl to them. The rifle was double boxed with the rifle wrapped in several layers of bubble pack. The same for the bolt and bayonet. This was my first purchase with centerfire systems and was very pleased with the transaction. Thank you Centerfire systems.
