HK21 Bolt Body

The centerpiece to the HK-21, the roller delayed bolt makes the HK-21 and its siblings unique. With it weighing more than its counterpart in the G3, the HK21 bolt is built for sustained fire without excessive damage to the guns internals. They’re heavy and reliable, and in limited supply. The HK21, made by H&K, and their Portuguese subcontractor FMP, was the West German evolution in firearm technology. Designed in conjunction with the MP5 and G3, the most prevalent early buyer was Portugal, who would later buy a license to manufacture the machine guns as well. Much like the G3, it fires NATO’s 7.62 x 51. The HK21s would go on to be used by Portugal until just a few years ago. It’s the bigger brother to an iconic battle rifle, reinforced and updated to serve better as an LMG.
