The Pard LE2-16 Leopard 256 is a compact handheld thermal monocular designed for scouting, hunting, and security observation in low-light and total-darkness conditions. Built around a high-sensitivity 256x192 thermal sensor with a 12 micron pixel pitch running at a 50 Hz refresh rate, the unit delivers smooth, responsive imaging with a NETD rating of 25mK for clean detection of heat signatures at range.
The Leopard 256 pairs its sensor with a 16mm objective lens and a base magnification range of 2x to 2.9x. Selectable digital zoom stages of 2x, 4x, 6x, and 8x extend the detection range for evaluating distant targets. The field of view spans from 12 degrees at the widest setting down to 8.20 degrees at maximum zoom, giving the operator flexibility between wide-area scanning and focused observation.
At just 10.58 oz, the LE2-16 is light enough for comfortable one-handed use and quick deployment in the field. A built-in -5 to +5 diopter adjustment dials in a sharp view for the individual shooter's eyesight. This is the LE2-16 configuration of Pard's Leopard 256 thermal monocular line, outfitted with the 16mm lens for a balanced mix of field of view and detection range.
