The Leupold VX-5HD Gen 2 2-10x42mm is a versatile, professional-grade hunting riflescope built around a 30mm main tube and Leupold's Professional-Grade Optical System. The wide 2-10x magnification range delivers a generous field of view at low power for close-range shooting and the reach and clarity needed for longer shots, while the 42mm objective pulls in serious light for dawn-to-dusk hunting.

This configuration is built around Leupold's Illuminated FireDot Duplex reticle in the second focal plane, giving you a crisp, daylight-bright aiming point with the heavy Duplex posts for fast, instinctive target acquisition. The reticle is paired with Leupold's CDS-ZL2 dial system, a tool-free SpeedSet elevation turret with custom-dial compatibility that lets you swap a matched bullet-specific dial without removing the turret from the scope. Side focus parallax adjustment is set at 150 yards.

The 30mm tube is finished in Black and is fog proof, shock proof, and waterproof, so it is built to handle hard field use in any weather. The lenses are treated with Leupold's proprietary Guard-Ion coating to shed water, oil, and dirt and keep the glass clear in rough conditions.
