The ATN PVS14-3W is a Generation 3 night vision monocular built in the USA on the single-tube PVS-14 platform. The "3W" designation denotes a white-phosphor image intensifier tube paired with Auto-Gated power supply technology, which reduces halo effect and enhances image clarity across varying light conditions.

The optical system uses multi-coated all-glass optics with a 40 degree field of view and a system/lens resolution of 64-72 lp/mm. A built-in infrared (IR) illuminator allows the unit to be operated in total darkness when ambient light is unavailable, and the housing is engineered to be waterproof and lightweight at approximately 0.78 lb.

The PVS-14 platform supports flexible deployment: the PVS14-3W can be operated hand-held as a conventional monocular or head-mounted as a single-eye goggle.
