The side-folding mechanism is constructed from 4140 heat-treated steel with a full-length locking lug for maximum strength, providing a solid positive lock-up in both folded and extended positions. The mechanism allows the stock to fold to the side for compact transport and storage, then lock firmly in place when extended for firing.
