The MDT HNT26 Chassis System in Cobalt Green is MDT Sporting Goods' first purpose-built chassis designed specifically for hunting applications. This variant is inlet for the Howa 1500 short action and Weatherby Vanguard short action, giving hunters a lightweight, rigid platform that replaces the factory stock and accepts detachable AICS-pattern magazines.

The chassis is built around a magnesium alloy base to keep weight to a minimum, paired with a carbon fiber forend, a carbon fiber pistol grip, and a foam-filled carbon fiber buttstock. The result is a hunting chassis that weighs in at roughly 31 ounces, making it one of the lightest factory-inlet hunting chassis on the market.

A top-mounted ARCA rail runs the length of the forend, allowing hunters to clamp directly to ARCA-equipped bipods, tripods, and shooting rests without adapters. The buttstock offers an adjustable length of pull so the rifle can be tuned to the shooter's preferred posture and clothing layers in the field.

Grip configurations are built around the MDT pistol grip and MDT vertical grip styling. The HNT26 accepts any AICS-pattern short action magazine, letting the shooter choose between MDT polymer and metal magazines (sold separately) to match the chosen cartridge.
