Magpul MAG619-FDE MOE AK Handguard AK-47/AK74 Flat Dark Earth Polymer

Upgrade your AK-pattern rifle with the Magpul MOE AK Hand Guard (model MAG619-FDE), a direct-replacement forend built in the USA from reinforced, heat-resistant polymer in a Flat Dark Earth finish. Designed for AK-47, AKM, and AK-74 pattern rifles that do not have a front sling loop on the hand guard retainer, this handguard installs using the rifle's existing front hand guard retaining cap and is optimized to replace the original stamped-receiver wooden or plastic hand guards.

An integral black oxide coated stainless steel heat shield deflects barrel heat away from the shooter's support hand, while the extended front lip and raised side extensions add grip surface and additional hand protection from a hot barrel. M-LOK accessory slots at the three, six, and nine o'clock positions accept direct-attach M-LOK accessories or M-LOK 1913 Picatinny rail sections for mounting lights, lasers, foregrips, and bipods without adding a full-length rail.

The included replacement polymer top cover is compatible with the UltiMAK Optics Mount top cover, and the channel still accepts the factory cleaning rod. Measuring 7.8 inches in maximum length, 1.8 inches wide, and 1.9 inches tall without the top cover (7.8 oz with top cover), the MOE AK Hand Guard counts as one U.S. compliance part for 922(r), making it a useful addition when restoring domestic content on imported AK-pattern rifles.

This handguard is not compatible with Yugo pattern rifles, RPK-style receivers, or milled receivers, and minor fitting may be required due to the wide range of AK tolerances. For rifles with a retaining cap sling loop, the loop must be removed to install the MOE AK Hand Guard.
