The Faxon Firearms Duty Series Gunner profile 400 Legend 16" barrel is purpose-built for AR-15 platforms, pairing an easy-handling contour with the rugged construction needed for hunting and duty-grade applications. Chambered in 400 Legend, it gives shooters a straight-wall, AR-pattern chambering that drops into a standard mil-spec upper and accepts common bolt, magazine, and lower components.

Manufactured in-house by Faxon Firearms from 4150 CMV Mil-Spec steel, the barrel is button rifled with a 1:16 twist rate - well suited to stabilizing the heavier, straight-wall projectiles used in 400 Legend hunting and defensive loads. Inside and out, the bore and outer surface are treated with a durable nitride finish that hardens the steel, improves corrosion resistance, and gives the barrel a deep matte black appearance.

The Gunner profile keeps the barrel trim and manageable at the muzzle while preserving rigidity at the chamber end, and a carbine-length gas system is tuned for reliable cycling with a broad range of ammunition.
