The Thompson Center Arms Encore ProHunter Firestick Katahdin is a purpose-built .50 caliber single-shot muzzleloader built on the legendary break-action Encore platform. Designed to take full advantage of Thompson Center's Firestick ignition system, this rifle delivers fast, reliable ignition in cold and wet conditions while retaining the accuracy and versatility the ProHunter line is known for.

The 20" barrel is machined from 416 stainless steel with a satin stainless finish and is fluted to reduce weight and shed heat quickly during a string of shots. A 1:24 twist rate is optimized for sabots and conical muzzleloader projectiles, and the muzzle is threaded 1-in-28 for muzzleloader-compatible muzzle accessories.

The rifle wears a durable black FlexTech composite stock with a textured grip surface and integrated recoil pad, giving the shooter a steady hold from a variety of field positions. Overall length measures 40" with a rifle weight of approximately 7 lbs. The break-action design loads and unloads through the hinged breech and forearm latch, making the Katahdin intuitive to operate in the field and easy to maintain.
