The Taurus 856 is a compact six-shot revolver chambered in .38 Special +P, built on a small-frame double-action/single-action design with a 2" stainless steel barrel and full underlug. At just 1.38 lbs, it carries light on the body yet still points naturally and tames +P recoil.

This model wears a distinctive Rose Gold Cerakote finish over a stainless steel frame for corrosion resistance and a refined look. The exposed hammer allows traditional single-action thumb-cocking, while a transfer bar safety prevents accidental discharge during carry. A removable serrated blade front sight paired with a fixed rear sight gives a clean sight picture, and soft rubber grips round out the package.

At only 6.55" overall, the 856 slips easily into a strong-side or pocket holster for all-day carry. Six rounds of .38 Special +P, a smooth DA/SA trigger, and modern Taurus quality control make the 856 a serious small-frame snub.
