The Savage Mark I G Youth is a compact, single-shot bolt-action rimfire rifle designed specifically for younger or smaller-statured shooters. Chambered for 22 LR, 22 Long, and 22 Short, this Youth variant of Savage's Mark I G line features a shortened 19" button-rifled barrel and reduced overall dimensions for a more comfortable fit on smaller frames, making it an ideal first rifle for new and developing shooters.

The button-rifled barrel is cut from carbon steel with a 1:16" twist and finished in a satin blued coating, terminating in a target crown for consistent accuracy. It is paired with a satin black drilled and tapped carbon steel receiver that readily accepts scope mounts, and the rifle comes equipped with open iron sights for traditional aiming. A positive thumb safety provides safe handling during carry and use.

Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger delivers a crisp, clean break that can be tailored to the shooter's preference, enhancing both safety and accuracy. The stock is a fixed hardwood design with a satin brown finish, keeping the rifle's overall weight around 5 lbs with an overall length of 37". Configured for right-hand use, the Mark I G Youth is at home in the backyard, on the plinking range, or as a training rifle for introducing new shooters to the shooting sports.
