The Smith & Wesson Model 1854 is a modern lever-action rifle chambered in .45-70 Government, blending traditional lever-action styling with contemporary features for today's hunters and shooters. This 14204 configuration pairs a polished stainless steel finish with a fixed black synthetic stock for a weather-resistant package built for the field.

The 20" barrel is machined from stainless steel with a 1:20" right-hand twist and is threaded 11/16x24 for muzzle accessories, with a thread protector included. A gold bead front sight pairs with an adjustable XS rear sight for traditional iron-sight use, while the stainless steel receiver carries an extended Picatinny rail for easy mounting of red dots or scout-style optics. A large loop lever provides easy cycling with gloves, and a crossbolt safety adds an extra measure of control.
