The Henry H012GCR Big Boy Carbine Side Gate is a compact, carbine-length lever-action rifle chambered in 45 Colt (Long Colt), blending the classic lines of the Big Boy platform with a quick-handling 16.5" profile and a distinctive large loop lever. A round 16.5" blued steel barrel sits on a matching blued steel receiver, paired with deeply checkered American walnut furniture that gives the rifle its traditional feel in the hand.

This Side Gate configuration pairs the standard removable tube magazine with a side loading gate, letting you top off the 7+1 capacity without unloading. A transfer bar safety blocks firing-pin contact with the cartridge until the trigger is deliberately pulled, and a brass bead front sight works alongside an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear for a clean iron-sight picture. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting, and the right-hand stock is shaped for a secure cheek weld and a confident trigger-hand reach.
