The Weatherby Vanguard Sporter is a bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 22-250 Rem, built around a classic Monte Carlo stock and finished in a rich matte blued. The Sporter pairs traditional Turkish Walnut furniture with a bead-blasted blued barrel for a hard-working hunting rifle with timeless sporting style.

At the heart of the rifle is a 24" #2 contour threaded barrel in matte blued steel, topped with a target crown. The barrel feeds into a drilled and tapped matte blued receiver that is ready for your choice of scope bases and rings - the rifle ships with no iron sights. The barrel features a 1:14" twist, well matched to the broad range of bullet weights used in 22-250 Rem varmint and predator hunting.

The Sporter is fitted with an adjustable two-stage match trigger that can be tuned down to 2.5 lbs, a three-position safety, and a right-hand Monte Carlo stock cut from Grade A Turkish Walnut. The walnut wears a satin brown finish that highlights the natural grain and gives the rifle a classic sporting look. Overall length is 44" and the rifle weighs 7.60 lbs, balanced for carry in the field and stable off a bench or shooting sticks.

Like every Weatherby Vanguard, the Sporter is guaranteed to shoot a 3-shot group of .99" or less at 100 yards, backed by Weatherby's accuracy promise. The 5+1 capacity keeps the rifle's lines clean and traditional.
