The Savage Axis 2 XP Combo Compact is a ready-to-hunt package from Savage Arms, pairing the Axis 2 bolt-action rifle with a factory-boresighted 3-9x40mm scope. Chambered in 243 Win, this Compact configuration is part of Savage's redesigned Axis 2 line built around improved ergonomics and out-of-the-box accuracy.

At the heart of the rifle is a 20" matte black heavy sporter barrel with a 1:9.25" twist, paired with a carbon steel receiver that is drilled and tapped for scope bases. Savage's signature user-adjustable AccuTrigger delivers a clean, crisp break tuned to the shooter's preference, and a smooth 4-round detachable box magazine provides a 4+1 capacity.

The Axis 2 platform updates the original Axis with a redesigned, more ergonomic fixed matte gray synthetic stock built to handle weather and rough field conditions.
