The Savage Axis 2 XP Combo in 400 Legend delivers out-of-the-box hunting performance in a value-priced bolt-action package from Savage Arms. Chambered in the modern .400 Legend hunting cartridge, this full-size rifle pairs a 20" sporter barrel with a 4+1 capacity and the signature AccuTrigger, making it a turnkey setup for hunters who want a complete rifle-and-scope package.

The action is built around a black carbon steel receiver that is drilled and tapped for scope mounting, finished in matte black to coordinate with the barrel. Savage mates the action to a 20" sporter-contour barrel with a 1:16" twist suited to 400 Legend projectiles. The bolt-action feeds from a detachable box magazine for a 4+1 total capacity and ships configured for right-hand shooters without iron sights, since the included optic takes their place.

The OD Green fixed synthetic stock provides a weather-resistant platform for field use. Overall length measures 42.50" and the rifle weighs approximately 7.70 lbs. Savage also includes the proven AccuTrigger, which allows the shooter to adjust the pull weight to match their preference.

As part of the XP Combo package, this Axis 2 ships with a factory-mounted and boresighted Weaver 3-9x40mm riflescope. The scope features fully multi-coated lenses for clear sight pictures in low light and tool-less windage and elevation adjustments, so you can zero the optic without a coin or wrench. With the optic installed and zeroed from the factory, the Axis 2 XP Combo is a ready-to-hunt package straight out of the box.
