The rifle feeds from a detachable box magazine for a 4+1 capacity, giving hunters a straight-wall option in states where the 400 Legend meets whitetail-deer regulations.

Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets shooters fine-tune the pull weight without a trip to the gunsmith, while the redesigned gray fixed synthetic stock brings improved ergonomics over the original Axis platform. The combo ships with a factory-mounted, bore-sighted Weaver 3-9x40mm scope, so the rifle is ready for the field right out of the box.
