The Savage Axis 2 Pro Woodland is a left-hand bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in .270 Win, built around Savage's upgraded entry-level platform with thoughtful features for the modern hunter. The 20" heavy sporter contour barrel is button-rifled with a 1:10" twist and free-floated for consistent accuracy, and it is threaded 5/8x24 at the muzzle for easy fitment of a suppressor or muzzle brake.

At the receiver, the action is built on a carbon steel foundation and is drilled and tapped to accept a one-piece optics rail. The trigger is Savage's signature user-adjustable AccuTrigger, allowing the shooter to tune pull weight to personal preference. The rifle ships with no iron sights, making it a ready-to-mount optic platform right out of the box. Savage's thread-in barrel headspacing system supports repeatable lockup and consistent accuracy shot after shot.
