The Savage Axis 2 Pro Woodland is a purpose-built bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in the fast, flat-shooting 22-250 Remington cartridge. Part of the upgraded Axis 2 Pro line, this rifle pairs Savage's proven short-action platform with a premium feature set aimed at big game and predator hunters who want dependable accuracy without stepping into a custom build.

At the core of the rifle is a 20" heavy sporter contour barrel finished in Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote for outstanding corrosion resistance in harsh hunting environments. The heavy sporter barrel features a 1:12" twist rate well suited for stabilizing the broad range of bullet weights used in 22-250 Rem, and it is threaded 1/2x28 for quick attachment of a suppressor or muzzle brake. A free-floated barrel design keeps the stock from contacting the barrel, helping the Axis 2 Pro deliver consistent downrange performance.

A carbon steel receiver is paired with a fixed stock finished in Woodland camo and a contoured pistol grip, giving the rifle a classic sporter profile suited to stand, blind, or spot-and-stalk hunting. Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets the shooter dial in a clean, crisp pull between 2.5 and 6 lbs with no trip to the gunsmith, and the receiver ships with no iron sights installed so you can mount your preferred optic directly. Overall length measures 40.5" with a total weight of 6.80 lbs, striking a balance between steady hold and all-day carry.
