Savage Axis 2 Pro Forest SP Camo 7mm-08 Rem 20" 4+1 Bolt Action Rifle

The Savage Axis 2 Pro Forest SP Camo is an upgraded big-game variant of Savage's value-oriented bolt-action rifle line, chambered in 7mm-08 Remington and dressed in the new Forest SP (Solid Pattern) natural camouflage stock finish. Designed as an affordable, feature-rich centerfire hunting rifle for whitetail, mule deer, and similar North American game, the Axis 2 Pro brings modern upgrades to the proven Axis 2 action.

A 20" heavy sporter barrel is spiral fluted for weight reduction and heat management and threaded 5/8x24 to accept a suppressor or muzzle device. The barrel mates to a carbon steel receiver using Savage's signature thread-in headspacing system for precise, repeatable headspace, and the bolt carries an updated handle for smoother cycling. A one-piece Picatinny rail sits on top of the receiver for scope mounting, and no iron sights are included.

Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets shooters set a custom pull weight without tools. The fixed synthetic stock has a pistol grip contour finished in the Forest SP natural camouflage pattern, and the right-hand configuration suits right-handed shooters.

Feeding from a detachable box magazine, the rifle holds 4+1 rounds - one 4-round magazine is included. The 1:7.5" twist stabilizes the full range of 7mm-08 bullet weights, from varmint loads to heavier big-game projectiles. Overall length measures 40.50" and total weight is 6.80 lbs, a balanced package for both spot-and-stalk and stand hunting.
