The Savage Axis 2 Pro Compact is a right-hand bolt-action rifle chambered in .223 Remington, designed as a compact hunting platform that delivers premium features at an entry-level price point. This configuration is built around a 20" heavy sporter barrel finished in Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote and threaded 1/2x28 for suppressor or muzzle-device attachment, paired with a carbon steel receiver in the same Cerakote finish and topped with an integrated Picatinny optics rail.

The rifle feeds from a 4-round box magazine for a 4+1 capacity, and its bolt action is paired with Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger for a clean, crisp, fully tunable break. The action uses Savage's thread-in headspacing system for precise, consistent barrel-to-receiver fit, and the 1:9 twist stabilizes a broad range of .223 Rem bullet weights for both varmint and medium-game use.
