The Savage Axis 2 Compact is a left-hand bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 400 Legend, built around a 20" matte black heavy sporter barrel with a 1:16 twist. The barrel is paired with a matte black drilled and tapped carbon steel receiver, ready to accept your choice of scope bases or mounts. Iron sights are not included.

A fixed OD Green synthetic stock completes the package. Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger delivers a crisp, customizable pull straight from the factory, and the bolt feeds from a 4-round magazine for a total 4+1 capacity well suited to whitetail and other deer-sized game in straight-wall cartridge states.
