Savage Axis 2 Compact 350 Legend 18" 4+1 Bolt Action Rifle - OD Green Synthetic - Right Hand

The Savage Axis 2 Compact is a value-priced bolt-action hunting rifle built around the straight-walled 350 Legend cartridge. Designed as the compact variant of the redesigned Axis 2 line, it pairs an 18" heavy sporter barrel with a shortened overall length for smaller-framed shooters and tight cover, while still delivering the accuracy Savage is known for.

The matte black button-rifled barrel sits in a matte black drilled and tapped carbon steel receiver, giving owners a ready platform for scope mounting. Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger comes standard, allowing the pull weight to be set to the shooter's preference without a gunsmith. A 1:16" twist stabilizes the wide range of 350 Legend bullet weights designed for whitetail-sized game and suppressed hunting.

The stock is a fixed OD Green synthetic with the redesigned ergonomic texturing and contoured grip geometry introduced on the current Axis 2. It is set up for right-hand shooters and ships with a 4-round detachable box magazine, giving a total 4+1 capacity. Sights are none - the receiver is drilled and tapped for optic bases - so this rifle is intended to run with a scope.

At 6 lbs unloaded and an overall length of 37.50", the Axis 2 Compact is a lightweight, easy-handling rifle well suited to deer hunting in straight-walled-cartridge states, thick-cover carry, and use as a first bolt-action for new shooters.
