Savage Axis 2 400 Legend 20" 4+1 Bolt Action Rifle - Green Stock - Right Hand

The Savage Axis 2 is a bolt-action hunting rifle engineered to deliver Savage's signature out-of-the-box accuracy in a lightweight, scope-ready package. This particular configuration is chambered in 400 Legend and ships as a complete, ready-to-scope rifle with no factory iron sights in the way.

At the heart of the rifle is a 20" matte black sporter barrel with a 1:16" twist rate. The barrel feeds into a matte black drilled and tapped steel receiver, so mounting bases and rings are all you need to get behind glass. The proven bolt action features an enhanced bolt handle and feeds from a detachable box magazine with a 4+1 capacity.

Savage's acclaimed user-adjustable AccuTrigger comes standard, allowing each shooter to set pull weight between approximately 2.5 and 6 lbs without tools or a trip to the gunsmith. The redesigned ergonomic stock is the centerpiece of the Axis 2 updates, featuring a fixed green synthetic construction with enhanced texturing and a pistol grip with ambidextrous palm swells for a confident hold in cold or wet conditions.

Set up for right-handed shooters, the rifle measures 40.50" overall and weighs just 6.40 lbs unloaded, light enough to carry all day in the timber while remaining steady from the prone or from the bench.
