This 32064 configuration pairs a 22-inch matte black sporter-contour barrel with a 1:10" rate of twist, a stable choice for the broad range of factory 308 Win bullet weights used on whitetail, mule deer, and similar North American game. The barrel is mated to a matte black drilled and tapped steel receiver, ready for your choice of scope or red dot via standard bases.

The action cycles rounds through a proven bolt and feeds from a 4-round detachable box magazine, giving the rifle a 4+1 total capacity. The Savage Axis 2 in this configuration measures 42.50" overall and weighs approximately 6.60 lbs, placing it solidly in the lightweight, packable hunting class.
