Savage Axis 2 30-06 Springfield 22" 4+1 Bolt Action Rifle - Right Hand

The Savage Arms Axis 2 is a full-size bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 30-06 Springfield, purpose-built for hunters who want reliable out-of-the-box accuracy without breaking the bank. This redesigned Axis pairs a 22" matte black sporter-contour carbon-steel barrel with a matte black drilled and tapped steel receiver ready for scope mounting, all sitting on a fixed matte gray synthetic stock with improved ergonomics over the original Axis.

At the heart of the rifle is Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger, which lets shooters fine-tune the pull weight without sending the gun to a gunsmith. The button-rifled barrel is spun at a 1:10" twist to stabilize the full spectrum of 30-06 bullet weights, and the rifle stretches 42.50" end-to-end while tipping the scales at 6.60 lbs. It feeds from a detachable 4-round box magazine for a 4+1 capacity, and the right-hand stock geometry keeps it oriented for the majority of shooters.

No iron sights are installed, but the receiver comes factory drilled and tapped so you can mount your optic of choice right out of the box. Whether you are chasing whitetail through timber or heading west for elk, the Axis 2 delivers Savage accuracy in a lightweight, no-nonsense package. One detachable box magazine is included.
