Savage Axis 2 30-06 Springfield 22" 4+1 Bolt Action Rifle - Left Hand

The Savage Axis 2 is a purpose-built hunting rifle chambered in 30-06 Springfield and configured for left-handed shooters. This bolt-action centerfire pairs a 22" matte black sporter barrel with a matte black drilled and tapped steel receiver, giving hunters an accurate, reliable platform at an accessible price point.

At the heart of the Axis 2 is Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger, which lets the shooter fine-tune the pull weight without a trip to a gunsmith. The button-rifled sporter barrel is cut with a 1:10 twist that pairs well with the wide range of bullet weights used for 30-06 hunting. The receiver comes drilled and tapped for scope bases so the rifle is optics-ready straight out of the box, and no iron sights are installed.

The rifle feeds from a detachable 4-round box magazine for a 4+1 capacity and tips the scales at 6.60 lbs with an overall length of 42.50". A fixed matte gray synthetic stock provides improved ergonomics over the original Axis, and combined with the matte black barrel and receiver, the rifle is well-suited for deer, elk, and similar North American big game.
