The Savage Arms Axis 2 in .243 Winchester is a purpose-built bolt-action hunting rifle that pairs out-of-the-box accuracy with the redesigned ergonomics of the second-generation Axis platform. Built around a 22-inch matte black sporter barrel and a matte black drilled and tapped steel receiver, this right-hand rifle ships ready for the field or for the optics you choose to mount.

At the heart of the action is Savage's signature user-adjustable AccuTrigger, allowing shooters to tune trigger pull weight to their preference without a trip to the gunsmith. The action is a traditional bolt design with an enhanced bolt handle, cycling a 4+1 capacity from a detachable box magazine. The sporter barrel is cut with a 1:9.25" twist, well-suited to stabilizing the wide range of bullet weights the .243 Win is known for.

The stock has been reworked for improved handling: a fixed matte gray synthetic stock with enhanced texturing, a contoured pistol grip with ambidextrous palm swells, and the slim forearm profile familiar to the Axis line. Overall length measures 42.50 inches and the rifle tips the scales at 6.60 lbs, making it a well-balanced carry for a full day in the field. The receiver ships drilled and tapped for scope bases, and iron sights are not included.
