The Savage Rascal Youth is purpose-built as a safe, accurate, and easy-to-use .22 LR bolt-action rifle designed for beginning and younger shooters. With its short 11.25" length of pull and scaled-down dimensions, the Rascal gives new shooters a comfortable platform to learn the fundamentals of rimfire marksmanship.

This model (MPN 13795) pairs a 16.13" matte blued carbon steel sporter barrel with a target crown and a 1:16" twist optimized for .22 LR ammunition. The barreled action is seated in a one-piece fixed red synthetic stock with a bright matte finish, designed for right-hand shooters and built to stand up to regular range use by younger or smaller-framed users.

The Rascal feeds from a single-shot internal magazine with an integrated feed ramp, adding an extra measure of safety by limiting the rounds available to the shooter. The receiver is topped with adjustable peep sights for straightforward target acquisition without optics, and the action is finished with Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger for a crisp, creep-free release that can be tuned without a visit to a gunsmith. A manual thumb safety rounds out the controls.
