The Marlin 1894 Guide Gun is a brush-ready lever-action rifle chambered in .44 Remington Magnum / .44 Special, purpose-built for hunting thick timber and backcountry work. Its 20.25" cold hammer-forged steel barrel wears a matte blued finish and feeds through a 10+1 tubular magazine, while the blued alloy steel receiver is paired to a straight black laminate stock built to shrug off weather and rough field use.
Sized for a saddle scabbard and tight-cover hunting, the Guide Gun runs an overall length of 37.75" and tips the scales at approximately 6.40 lbs unloaded, giving it a quick, pointable balance for snap shots at close range. The 1:16" RH twist is well-matched to the broad spread of .44 Magnum and .44 Special hunting and defensive loads. A crossbolt safety sits behind the lever, and the proven Model 1894 action cycles smoothly for follow-up shots.
Sighting hardware is purpose-driven for the brush: a brass bead front sight with hood for fast target pickup, paired with an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear for dialing in precise holdover at distance. The straight black laminate stock holds up to abuse that would punish traditional walnut, keeping the rifle ready season after season. Built around Marlin's proven 1894 lever action, the Guide Gun is the .44 Magnum carbine that earns its place in a scabbard or on a hunt.
