Kimber Mountain Ascent Peak 280 Ackley Improved 24" 4+1 Bolt-Action Rifle

The Kimber Mountain Ascent Peak is a lightweight bolt-action mountain rifle chambered in 280 Ackley Improved, purpose-built for western big-game hunters who need a rifle light enough to pack into backcountry terrain without sacrificing accuracy or terminal performance. The Mountain Ascent Peak delivers Kimber's signature sub-MOA accuracy promise in a complete, hunt-ready package.

At the core of the rifle is a 24" stainless steel match-grade threaded barrel with a 1:9" twist, finished in KimPro II and fitted with a Kimber muzzle brake. A 5/8 x 24 threaded adapter ships with the rifle for running a sound suppressor. The barrel is joined to an aluminum receiver also finished in KimPro II, which carries a three-position safety and an adjustable trigger. The rifle ships without iron sights so the receiver is ready for immediate scope mounting.

The fixed aluminum/carbon fiber stock incorporates a full-length aluminum bedding block for consistent stock-to-action contact and repeatable shot-to-shot accuracy. The Mountain Ascent Peak measures 45.25" overall, weighs just 6.10 lbs, and cycles a 4+1 capacity in the high-performance 280 Ackley Improved cartridge, a proven round for western big-game hunting at extended range.
